innogy SE is Germany’s leading energy company, with revenue of around €46 billion (2015), more than 40,000 employees and activities in 16 countries across Europe. With its three business segments Grid & Infrastructure, Retail and Renewables, innogy addresses the requirements of a modern, decarbonised, decentralised and digital energy world. It is a well-established European distributor and supplier of electricity and gas and an experienced producer of electricity from renewable energy sources with a diversified and well-invested asset base. Anchored in the German market with leading positions in many European countries, as of December 31, 2015 innogy operated around 570,000 km of electricity and gas grids serving approximately 16.5 million grid customers in Germany and four Eastern European countries, had contracts for the sale of electricity and gas with 23 million customers in eleven European countries and generated electricity with a total capacity of 4.4 GW (accounting view). 3.6 GW of this capacity stems from renewable sources in nine European countries. In 2015, innogy Group generated EBITDA of €4.5 billion. As a leader of innovation in future-oriented fields like eMobility, we are represented in the international hot-spots of the technology industry such as Silicon Valley, Tel Aviv and Berlin. We combine the extensive expertise of our energy technicians and engineers with digital technology partners, from start-ups to major corporates. With planned capital investments of around €6.5 billion (2016-2018), we are building the power market of the future and driving forward the transformation of the energy market.
